Abidal has been impressive for Barcelona this season
the 31 years old France international has played for his country at two world cups in Germany and south Africa.
Abidal joined the Spanish side Barcelona in 2007 from Lyon has been a regular member of the first team ever sense, he has been in an impressive form this season helping Barcelona over come arsenal in the champions league last 16 and going through to the quarter finals and Barcelona are top in the Spanish league.
Barcelona have no indication of how long abidal will be sideline and wish the best for the defender
midfield xavi wishes abidal a good luck and says" Abidal is one of the stronger person i know he is mentally strong and i believe he will over come this setback, he is also a leader in the locker room and encourages the players it`s a sad day for the players, staff and the fans of Barcelona and we wish him the best."
